The Welwitschia Association was born from the dream of a boy sensitive to social and humanitarian issues, who always wished to see a better world, guided by peace and harmony among peoples. Over time, he realised that true change begins within each of us, and that by changing ourselves, it is possible to contribute to a better world.

  ‘ Only by starting to change oneself does the change in the world begin’.

   Motivated by this vision, he decided to create a philanthropic organisation aimed at promoting actions that help in social development and the betterment of the world. The name "Welwitschia" was inspired by the Welwitschia plant, which also inspired him to write his fairy tale book entitled ‘Welwitschia’, as it is a rare plant from the Namib Desert that symbolizes resilience, persistence, and perseverance—values that reflect the journey of those seeking personal transformation to positively impact the change for a better world.
